Dries Van Noten: Belgian fashion is given pride at MoMu!
Dries Van Noten is a Belgian fashion designer, graduated from the Royal Academy of Antwerp in 1981. His now worldwide fame was mainly founded in his patterned and original fabrics.
For the first time, his oeuvre is displayed in an exhibithion, the perfect occasion to discover what inspired such a great designer. The Momu describes it has “an intimate journey into his artistic universe, revealing the singularity of his creative process”. It sounds already like a special moment, full of suprises.
Yes, I say suprises because the exhibition is not a classical restrospective, but rather a combination of the different arts and fields that have influenced his work. A great mix between fashion design, decoration arts and people who have helped Dries Van Noten define his style.
If you don’t know Drien Van Noten that well, then we suggest you visit that exhibition stat! It’s open until mid-July, and is well worth the visit!
